Education and training

With 80% of the population in the UK now living in an urban environment it is vital for the outdoors to be embedded into our school experience.  Promoting outdoor work through training fellow practitioners has always been a priority, if you are interested in group or individual training please get in touch.

Half day session introducing you to a psychological perspective on nature, the brain, health and education.

Engaging teens outdoors

Many of our teenagers are slipping though the net and stress related health problems are increasing world wide.  We need to help them develop a healthy interaction with the natural world for increased wellbeing and support their transition into adulthood.  Inspired by recent exchanges to Scandinavian countries, these sessions aim to develop staff confidence and skills in working outdoors, with a particular focus on appropriate risk taking for young people, including fire and tool use, alongside dealing with behaviour that challenges in the outdoor environment.

Creative outdoor play

The arts are often squashed by the demands of the current school curriculum, however the creative arts contribute an estimated £5.9 billion to the UK economy annually.  These sessions will look at ways to encourage creative development through outdoor activities, whilst still meeting the needs of your curriculum.
